Detailed theory for every topic

Each lesson contains a set of high-quality theory that includes everything you expect and more. Theory starts with highlighting where the concepts covered are used in the real world and the worked examples explore mathematical concepts from multiple perspectives and integrate visual models where appropriate to build students’ conceptual understanding of topics.

Questions to build students’ conceptual knowledge

Build students’ foundation of knowledge with three different types of questions. Students first engage with visual models with Understanding Worksheet questions, then progress into building familiarity with the abstract maths through the Fluency questions. Students are scaffolded away from developing misconceptions by identifying potential errors with Spot the mistake questions.

Questions to extend students and help them revise

Extend students with 4 different question types. Problem solving questions get students to apply their mathematical skills in real world contexts. Reasoning questions are multi-part questions that provide students with the opportunity to engage in longer multi-part questions. This is where they have to justify and explain what they have done.

In Years 7 and 8 extra spicy questions are the most challenging questions that are modelled after questions in maths competitions. In Years 9 and 10 exam style questions mirror questions that appear in VCE exams.

Remember this questions in Years 7-9 keep students’ knowledge active by bringing back questions from previous lessons and chapters.

Fully-worked solutions to help students learn

The textbook and online fully-worked solutions go beyond single number answers. The solutions deconstruct questions and provide students with step-by-step workings so that they are able to use this to reflect, understand any errors and make progress, both in and out of the classroom, or when you’re busy helping other students.

Firstly, congratulations on your vision for this educational product. There is a lot of common sense and practical aspects to this curriculum delivery that cuts out the clutter, allows for multiple consolidation opportunities for concepts and provides support to both the student and teacher!

Matt, Year 7 Coordinator
Mueller College (QLD)

We are so impressed with the Year 7 Edrolo resources. One of the things we love most is that students can review and revise content at their own pace, and as teachers we can easily track student progress and see who needs extra help through the online platform.

Helena, Year 7 Maths and Science Teacher
Good News Lutheran College (VIC)

Having resources differentiated for my students is saving me so much time. The data is fantastic too - I can quickly check and see which questions students need extra support with. Edrolo is really helping me to deliver high quality Maths lessons to my students so that they can have really great quality outcomes, and they can achieve their goals in Maths.
